More often than not, it seems like refurbished Amazon devices are just returns that were opened but never actually used. If you’re planning to listen to music through the built-in speaker of the Echo Dot, it’s well worth paying the extra $12 for the 3rd Gen Echo Dot at $29.99 because the new Echo Dot has a significantly better and louder internal speaker than the older model.
